TOUR PROGRAM:
A comfortable and fully air conditioned transportation will pick up you early in the morning from your hotel and drive you towards Pamukkale. You will be travelling with a professional tour guide.
In order to make the road trip to Pamukkale more comfortable and enjoyable, several short stops are included in the schedule. The first of these stops will take place at the city of Korkuteli. Those who wish can enjoy a nutritious breakfast in a cafeteria at an extra cost.
Another stop will take place at the city of Denizli. As this is the closest city to Pamukkale, you will be able to enjoy some panoramic views over the imposing Cotton Castle. Then you will visit Pamukkale.
The name of Pamukkale comes from the white cotton-like stones formed during the precipitation of chalky hot spring waters coming out of the underground. Starting from ancient times, Pamukkale has become a thermal health center that offers healing to people for thousands of years. Healing waters are known to support the treatment of many diseases, especially rheumatism, skin, heart and vascular. In addition, these thermal waters in Pamukkale with 17 different temperatures created natural wonders of different beauty all over Pamukkale. There are naturally-shaped pools with water from the nearby hot springs. There, you can snap some beautiful photos or swim into the mountain’s pools.
Then, you will visit the ancient city of Hierapolis which is characterized as an UNESCO site of cultural heritage. During antiquity, Hierapolis was a healing and spiritual centre due to the thermal springs that the area has. There, you can walk around and observe several structures such as the ancient theatre, the necropolis and the Roman baths.
At a short distance, there is another excellent thermal spring, known as Cleopatra’s Pool. Those who are interested to swim there can do it at an extra cost.
During the tour you will enjoy open buffet delicious lunch. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant on the back way to Antalya.
