Jalon is not just famous for its wines: the valley is lined with almond trees and in February and March when the trees blossom, the sea of pink and white that covers the valley draws people by the coach load, to see the beautiful sight.

On a Saturday, Jalon plays host to one of the oldest and largest "rastros" (car boot sales) of the Costa, that draws people from afar to rummage through the goods and antiques on sale. So why not join this trip for a day out with a difference!

You’ll be collected by coach at your chosen start point. Once everyone is onboard, accompanied by an English-speaking representative, you’ll follow the coast road bypassing the villages of Altea, Mascarat and Calpe, then head inland through some of the region’s most breathtaking scenery and arrive in Jalon around 11:30am.

Once there, you’ll have around three hours of free time which you can use as you choose. Perhaps you’d like to sit and watch the world go by whilst taking in the lovely countryside views and fresh air, or maybe you’d prefer a bit of bargain hunting in the craft & antique market, or why not spend the morning sampling locally produced wines and other products such as chocolates, honey etc. The representative will confirm the meeting point and time for returning back to Benidorm and Albir. You’ll arrive back at the hotels around 15:30.
