You chance to discover the hidden treasures of the Ionian,  the two islands of Paxos and Anti Paxos.

Cruise the Ionian sea on the boat Zanadu and see for yourself why Greece  tried to hide away these islands and keep them to themselves.

As you set off from Corfu port and head south you will cruise past Garitsa bay, Mon Repo Palace the birth palace of Prince Philip, Pontikonisi (mouse island) and much, much more.  While marveling at the view, to compliment your cruise there's a small bar on board where drinks and snacks can be brought.

The Ancient Greek history describes the god Neptune smashing his trident so hard on the south part of Corfu he broke a section off, this creating  what we now call Paxos.  He then used this as a secret hideaway for his beloved Amphitrite.

The first stop the captain makes, is in front of the beach of Anti-Paxos.  Many compare Anti-Paxos to the Caribbean, with  clear crystal waters and white beach, it is simply divine and diving in is irresistible. Enough time is spent for people to enjoy a swim to the beach or to sit back and enjoy the stunning scenery. After Anti-Paxos it just gets better, the captain cruises around the island taking in other spectacular beaches including the Blue Caves, where the colours of the water vary from blue to emerald with a stunning backdrop of the vertical cliffs.

The final stop where a little more relaxing can be done is the island of Paxos.  Into Gaois the capital of the island, where here you have plenty of time to do your own thing,  the pretty port-side is lined with cafés, bars and quaint traditional tavernas or take a meander through the cobbled streets in the village, where you will find the old stone houses, old churches and a olive tree or three.  If you get the chance to buy wine or olive oil from the island, snap up the chance its said to be the best this side of Greece. With the Island being only 4 miles by 8 miles you could even travel to the other resorts Lakka or Logos minutes apart but all very different in appearance.

As your day comes to the end you cruise once again through the Ionian sea. Corfu town gives you a warm welcome back and opportunity to capture the impressive scenery of the Venetian buildings in the islands capital.

Remember on this day out to take swim wear, plenty of sun cream, water, money and certainly don't forget your camera.
