The aquarium of Barcelona is situated in the Port of the city and is one of Europe’s biggest marine leisure and education sensors. A tour of the aquarium reveals all the secrets of the oceans that surround us. The highlight of the visit is the vast oceanarium, which is home to sharks, sunfish, rays and home to the greatest number of species in our oceans. You can explore the Oceanarium from below and experience the exhilarating feeling of discovering the Mediterranean. You will feel as if you are walking along the seabed as you travel through the 200 metre long underwater glass tunnel. The tour is completed by a visit to the large Mediterranean and tropical aquariums and a mini aquarium area is provided, where the children can discover many fascinating facts and details about marine life, while they also explore flora and fauna (Plant and Animal) of the sea. The Barcelona Zoo is located in the colourful Ciutadella Park in Barcelona, the location for this zoo was chosen because of the buildings, which became available after the Universal Exhibition of Barcelona in 1888, these buildings make the zoo a very unique place to visit. You see that the zoo has three objectives, conservation, research and education. The star of this zoo was Snowflake, the famous and unique albino gorilla until 2003. The zoo today, however, still affords you the chance to observe many rare and endangered species, being ranked among the top zoos in Spain, it has open enclosures, allowing you to almost touch the animals. There is a infant zoo where children can be introduced to various animals, as well as a wide selection of other wild life and birds. The zoo also offers special displays of reptiles such as iguanas and chameleons. The zoo In Barcelona prides itself on its humane facilities and habitats for the wild animals. An absolutely lovely day for the all the family.
