This is one of the best tours to explore the excavations of Akrotiri village and ruins. Enjoy scenic views from the highest point of the island, the Mount Prophet Elias. You will visit the famous red beach, that in located near Akrotiri settlement and the black beach in Perivolos village. Last stop, to one of the islands most famous wineries where you will have great caldera panoramic photos and the opportunity to taste traditional wines.

    Visit SantoWines winery with stunning caldera views.

Start with the breath-taking view at the Prophet Elias Monastery and visit the picturesque monastery. Then follows Megalochori village, an extremely charming traditional settlement, almost abandoned after the big earthquake and Akrotiri excavations, one of the most significant archaeological sites, that includes a vast structure, once inhabited by 200 families and preserved buried under the volcano’s lava. Its also rumoured to be the lost city of Atlantis.

Then you will have free time at the Red Beach for swimming or simply enjoy the colorful formations of the mountain and/or visit Akrotiri Bay for coffee or lunch with Greek traditional mezes and ouzo (not included). Perivolos, with its black fine stone beach comes next. There you will have enough time to enjoy swimming, explore the area eat at the local taverns. Last stop, one of the most popular wineries of Santorini, for an optional wine tasting experience.
