Phra Ae Beach or its tourist name, Long Beach is the longest beach on the island with its white sands spreading over 4km. This area is often known for fining a more party atmosphere however that is only in small pockets. Long beach has facilities that will suit all types of groups from families to backpackers.
The Beach itself is slightly deeper closer to the shoreline so is less suitable for smaller children. Dotted all the way along are plenty of beach bars and restaurants as well as a number of resorts. Its possible to find all grades of accommodation here which makes it a very popular destination on the island.
