Letojanni is found just 6Km from the more up-market Taormina. This is a bit more chill out relax than party all night resort. Sunbathing, swimming and relaxing on the sandy (coarse) beach are just the ticket here. (Note some of the beaches or Lidos are pay beaches). As the sun goes down the main focus of attention is the Piazza Durante (main square) where most people while away the evening in one of the many cafes, bars and restaurants. If you do want to do something a bit more active, there are many places to see, including Mt Etna and if it takes your fancy, there is an olive picking experience, the Italian version of pick your own.
