Taormina is one of the most spectacular resorts you will find and has been dubbed the Monte Carlo of Sicily. Perched on the side of a mountain, famous for its views of Mount Etna (The Volcano) and the gulf of Naxos. This is a chic and sophisticated place as famous for the celebs and high rollers that flock here every summer. The town is blessed with an array of designer shops, amazing restaurants and cool bars. It's also famous for the ancient Greek theatre which is a must visit. Not surprisingly you will need a reasonable budget to holiday here, it's quite pricey and gets really busy in July & August.
