Lacanau or Lacanau Ocean as its often called is a surfers favourite resort right in the middle of the French Atlantic Coastline. It's hard to imagine Bordeaux is just down the road - (well inland). Miles of golden sands stretch as far as you can see - great conditions to learn to surf in and good for families, quite shallow waters and good bodyboarding waves.
