Tigne beach is a small rocky part of the Sliema coast, between Point bridge in Sliema Ferries promenade and the Fort Tigne. Apart from the most spectacular view toward Valletta city walls, it is the main sailing out point for the yacht and smaller ships, departing from the nearest marinas, towards the open sea. This whole area has a tranquil and romantic setting in any time of the year, because of its secluded location, just beside the Tigne Tower and the new shopping mall.

This interesting setting of flat rocks and manmade concrete platforms is actually the only place where you can stay at the beach, without any facilities around. Younger generations love it, because it is in the heart of the city and it still provides the essence of beach life - sun, swim and rocks! Some rocks are high enough to provide the sports where you can jump into the water. It is deep enough and safe for jumpers.

Also, BBQ parties are seen very often in the evening hours on this side of the beach. To approach the beach you`ll need to follow the path right next to the fence (upper promenade with the wooden flooring) and to find the steep steps next to the tower, that shall take you down to the water. The only way to reach the beach is by foot. If you have your own vehicle, you should leave it in behind, in the one of the surrounding street parking lots or in the Point shopping center.

Recommended for children - only for swimmers, just some parts of the beach, parents surveillance advised.
